Hun Manet: People Who Want Success Must be Humble and Open-minded in Learning.

Battambang: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, spoke at the graduation ceremony of Dewey International University, Battambang Province, on December 13, 2022, saying that those who want to succeed in all tasks should adhere to a humble attitude and be open-minded to learning at all times.

According to Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, success in school, work, and daily life all require patience, perseverance, discipline, and a clear vision towards long-term developments.

In this regard, he urged all individuals to adhere to a humble and open-minded attitude toward learning at all times, especially to always have a high level of commitment in trying to achieve positive results.

"With capable human resources, that has come to realization from the efforts since the Pol Pot regime. Today, Cambodia is self-sufficient in all fields, has prestige on the international stage, and can also compete vigorously in the current globalization," he underlined.

Lt. Gen. Hun Manet said that the Royal Government has set the development of "people" (human resources) as its main priority by focusing on both education and health.

He added that human resources and health care are invaluable assets in the process of sustainable socio-economic development in Cambodia, especially in maintaining the stability of economic growth, poverty reduction, and competitiveness.

"Focusing on these objectives is the most pressing matter that must be accomplished both now and in the long run. When the human resources of the country are rich in knowledge and in good health, they will be able to fully participate in the process of building the country, particularly improving the economy to enhance people's livelihoods, and become an active force in developing the nation," he said.
